Ideal for solo travelers seeking comfort
The warm welcome from the hosts was like stepping into a familiar place! The ensuite room was not just clean, but beautifully decorated, like they really pay attention to every detail.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but honestly, for what you get, it felt justifiable.

The shared bathroom can be a hassle, especially if the place gets busy. it raises concerns about privacy and convenience during peak times. Some essential bathroom amenities, like a plug for the hand basin, were notably lacking. I experienced a delay in breakfast service that forced me to miss out on a meal entirely, which isn't great when you're on a tight schedule.

Had a lovely stay at Colthrop Manor! The cozy twin room and stunning views made it a real gem. Breakfast in the grand dining room was fantastic, although the hosts running late caused a little hiccup. A charming escape for sure!

a lovely stay in a beautiful room with stunning views, just a short drive from local attractions like highclere castle and the nature discovery centre. breakfast was freshly made and delicious (don't miss the local sausages! ).
wifi could be spotty in places.

The comfortable twin-bedded room provided a warm refuge against the terrible weather, and the grand dining room made for an excellent breakfast experience that's hard to forget. The rural setting was incredibly peaceful, offering stunning views that made it feel far removed from urban life. shared bathroom access posed some inconvenience, especially during busy times, and the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable at moments, which interrupted my stay.
